Categorization of Indian Railway Stations
Since November 2017, the Categorization of Indian Railway Stations has changed. In the new categorization system, both numbers of passenger footfalls and passenger earnings of the stations have been considered.
All the stations of Indian Railways are clubbed into three main groups.
- Non-suburban (NSG)
- Suburban (SG) and
- Halt (HG)
Further, these groups have been put in grades ranging from 1-6, 1-3 and 1-3 respectively.
Categorization of Non-suburban (NSG) Stations
